My Den

I’m sorry, Authors

I have been swamped with book review requests and author interviews lately. I am extremely sorry Authors if I have been too late in responding back.

As some of you already know, my wedding lasted for two weeks in the month of Feb and I have been busy with my pre-wed and post enjoying the moments with my loved one and family.

Secondly, I haven’t been able to respond individually since my mail-box is cluttered L I have been trying to organize and prioritize and sort out the reviews especially.

Between, I managed to make use of Google form and came up with forms for “Author Interviews” and “Book Reviews”. I hope this helps.

As mentioned earlier, I am working for a cause and very soon I will be reading for that cause and it could be just a $ or more if you want the book to be reviewed. I will keep you updated.

Please bear with me until then 🙂

Love you all. You can find the tabs on the home page.

Feel free to share if your friends or authors want some exposure for their books

Also, I am adding reminder form so that the frustrated and annoyed authors can make use of it to reach me…lol!!! How convenient.

My first poetry book

The consequence of naming your book and the sequel following is a pain in the neck sometimes.  The  impact of choosing the same name with the only difference being the additional tag: VOLUME II has been relatively challenging although it is very common.

At first when I started writing my first poem, I wasn’t even sure if I would ever find my poetry compiled into a book and even if it did, I could never even think about the readers or any sense of appreciation and criticism. Maybe, my confidence level was size zero.

If I can talk with my reader and keep the flow, my poems come out alive 🙂

I should have mentioned in my first poetry book about Vol II.

For all the readers,

Sorry for the confusion created among. You can pick Vol II and read it irrespective of Vol I read.

Thank you all 🙂

Note: WINGS OF EMOTIONS VOL II is unique in its own way although my first book name is the same.

WOE VOL I – 60 Poems .

WOE VOL II – 30 Poems { Every poem is a story of its own}

My first poetry book

It is something…

I never really let that joy become part of my life until I wrote Volume II. There was some magical driving force that travelled along with me when I wrote every poem.

I felt a sudden sadness,

Sometimes, it was sudden urge to fight,

Other times, it was sudden urge to roar back like never before,

The sudden numbness,

The sudden dull-ache in my heart,

The sudden gust of melancholy,

The sudden rush of happiness,

The sudden memory of abandoned soul

I increased my pace to write and believed in telling a story to the world. Every poem has a story of its won in “WINGS OF EMOTIONS VOL II” and it is very close to my heart and soul.

There is concept behind everything I wrote.

Fear of a Writer – I

Writers see a different picture altogether when it comes to why we write a book or why do we wish that it does good in the market.

While I was on a holiday, I was wondering if anyone was reading my book at all? There is no blunt way to explain the fear that transcends at that point and haunts you for a while. Nevertheless, Trust me, It is the doorway to freedom for every author.

When I first began writing, folks around me suggested to get paperback copies straight away and pay some bucks to post in few groups which might help my book get some exposure. I never did and I don’t regret for not doing it either.

I started blogging and that’s when folks really got to know who I am and that’s when amazingly my book sales rose to unexpected heights and “Touch Wood”, book sales and reviews are great. I appreciate and thank all the readers who have honestly criticised and praised my poetry 🙂

Well, to the former question I raised about whether anyone really is reading my book: Definitely, even if it is friend of your friend who got your book as a gift, someone is reading your book at the end of the day 🙂

Interesting post by Expert Editor

“Terror is easy. Writing is hard, and writing well is really hard. The Paris terrorists didn’t put pen to paper to defend the honour of Mohammed because doing so would have forced them to think critically, and reason out why the honour of a seemingly mortal man born 1400 years ago is worth defending in the first place. The only way to convey ideas is through writing; and good writing has a neat way of exposing bad ones.”
A timely article and may prompt some writers to think about the considerable power they wield
